Duchess Court Island Porcelain moved from Lamlash to larger premises at the island's premier visitor and shopping centre, Duchess Court on the outskirts of Brodick (formerly Home Farm), in March 2009. This enabled the casting, fettling, painting and firing processes to be brought together under one roof, and you can now watch Vivienne and her team hand producing the porcelain pieces. You can also keep the children occupied with painting sessions on specially bought in pieces! Parking is plentiful and other attractions at Duchess Court are Arran Aromatics, the Island Cheese Company, Creelers of Arran Smokehouse and Seafood Restaurant, D C Gifts and Copperwheat Cafe.
Directions from Brodick ferry terminal turn right along the A841 heading towards the North of the island. Continue past the Ormidale sports ground on the left, school and Heritage Centre, keeping right at the sharp bend where the B880 (The String) joins. Keep Following the A841 and Duchess Court is round the next bend on the right hand side.
