Mute Swan (Cygnus olor) White, very large with S shaped neck found round the Arran coast all year and breeds on Arran. They are monogamous and build their nests on large mounds close to water out of waterside vegetation and often return to the same nest each year, restoring and rebuilding it as necessary.
